Dangerous Waters
by Robert Ramon

Dangerous water, drug smuggling, piracy, A race ahead of  hurricane Gilbert, A high seas adventure you won't want to miss.

After a year and a half of traveling through the country in an old thirty-foot Winnebago, he was able to clear his head of everything he had been through and finally found his way back home to Florida with new plans and a clear sense of direction. Full of energy and expectations, he had decided to study for a captain’s license and start a yacht delivery business moving boats up and down the eastern seaboard and throughout the Caribbean. Becoming a sea captain would mean hard work and come with great responsibility, but he had lived around the water for most of his life and loved it. Robert was convinced that this could be a career with travel and adventure custom-made for a sea dog like him, besides he really liked the sound of becoming “Captain Bob Ventura” and was eager to get his license.

The Biography of Dr. Aweis A. Ali
Written By
Naol Kebede

(Click here)  to listen to this audiobook for free on YouTube

The purpose of this biography is to document the life of an ordinary boy who became an extraordinary man. Aweis, courageous yet humble, did not want this biography to be written, but he was dragged into it kicking and screaming. He finally relented and reluctantly started cooperating. This work is intended to benefit present-day and future generations of Somali Christians and the expatriates who love the Somali people. This biography is also a reminder to Somali Muslims that the notion “to be a Somali is to be a Muslim” is erroneous. While I had access to the biographee’s personal voice and contacts, I had the final say in the tone and the content of this book.

Aweis Ali, PhD, is a Somali missiologist, poet and paremiologist. Former employers include the Somali Government, EU, UNICEF, UNOSOM and Samaritan's Purse. He became a disciple of Christ in 1986 through the ministry of SIM. Aweis, the first Somali churchman to earn a ministry-related doctoral degree, recently accepted to join the faculty of Shiloh International Theological Seminary as an adjunct Professor. Aweis, a scholar of Islam and Christianity, is also an author, editor, lyricist and hymnodist. Aweis is a leading authority on the persecuted church in the Muslim world with unique expertise on the Somali church; he has been ministering in the Muslim world since 1993. Aweis has lived and served in world areas that include the Horn of Africa, East Africa, West Africa, and the United States.
Aweis earned a BTh degree from the Evangelical Theological College in Addis Ababa; an MDiv degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. He holds a PhD from Africa Nazarene University in Nairobi. Aweis' PhD thesis is titled Persecution of Christians and its Effect on Church Growth in Somalia.
Aweis is the Series Editor of the annual Maansada Masiixa (Anthology of Somali Christian Poetry) and the Editor in Chief of the Somali Bible Society Journal, the official biannual publication of the Somali Bible Society.Aweis’ research interests include: persecution of Christians, church history and church growth in the Muslim world; Waaqism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam in the Somali peninsula; global paremiology and Somali poetry.

Holy Terror
 Written John R. Dougherty

Detective Jelani is a tough, veteran cop, who earned his stripes in the rough-and-tumble streets of St. Louis before relocating to Miami. His younger partner, Detective Madigan, is brash and confident. But they were never prepared for what awaits them as they try to solve these latest crimes. They are about to become embroiled in a series of cosmic events which they could have never dreamt of, even in their wildest imaginations. In a world where the angels of heaven and the angels of hell bring their ageless battle to Earth, how will these men, and their families, overcome such insurmountable challenges?

As has been the case since the beginning of time, God and His heavenly host are facing off with Satan and his hellish host. Caught in the middle is Thumos, possibly the most powerful angel ever created. He is a warrior angel, "quickened" by God for one thing: battle. And he has seen plenty of that down through the centuries. No one can match his prowess; not even the Archangels. But Thumos has become a disgruntled warrior of God, and after standing by for long enough, he can take it no more.

The earthly world of these two Miami detectives will collide with the heavenly world of Thumos. None of them know what is coming, and none of them will ever be the same again.

Now he is enjoying bringing to life his angelic hero, Thumos, and a host of other characters that he hopes you will find both entertaining as well as either inspiring or repulsive (after all, there are both good guys and bad guys in this story). This is the first book of a series, featuring detectives Lane Madigan and Ian Jelani, whose experience with Thumos will yield life changing results. Sinners Never Die

Written Julie Rowe

Bazyli Breznik used to rule the world, but now the centuries old vampire is at the bottom of the food chain. He’s broke and drives a yellow cab in NYC. He sleeps in the trunk. He’s an alcoholic. His only friends are drunks. He’s a murderer and believes he’s the most evil creature on earth. He’s wrong.

Baz is in hiding, like the rest of his kind. They aren’t like normal humans, they were changed more than five hundred years ago by a virus into a version of human who never grows old, heals fast, and requires fresh blood for nutrition. The vampires of myth and legend aren’t some kind of magical beings, they’re real people whose disease is both blessing and curse. And Baz was once the badest of them all.

Baz is satisfied with living a marginal life on the edge of society as punishment for all the sins he committed centuries ago. Until he stumbles across a human trafficking ring operating in New York City. A waitress at one of the diners in his area is nearly kidnapped in front of him. He steps in only to discover that the waitress is really an undercover cop who is part of a sting operation. Baz ends up agreeing to be an informant so the cops will leave him alone. But the traffickers try to take the lady cop, Nika, again, and Baz becomes annoyed. She’s good people, and he’s always hated slavery.

When Nika is finally taken on try number three, he’s not content to look and listen anymore. He discovers that the criminals behind the ring aren’t just bad people, they’re the kind of bad he used to be. and they don’t care who they hurt, or finds out about them. He’s got to stop them, get Nika back, and manage not to kill too many people all at the same time.

He wasn’t cut out to be a good guy.

Paul Remmich sweated while he slept. His subconscious mind spun traitorous thoughts to control his actions and satisfy his handler’s quest for secrets. He’s powerless to refuse.

The US Army acquires a new top-secret energy source. News of this discovery leaked into the wrong hands, Iraq’s Tariq'Allah. They offer Captain Eric Miller a bribe to participate in espionage for a kickback. The military intelligence officer refuses. This clandestine encounter leaves one of the foreign emissaries dead.

The lethal outcome forces
Miller to flee Stockholm and take refuge at a US Army station in Germany to work with his West Point friend, Captain Paul Remmich. But the pursuit is renewed, and the Iraqi agents devise a new strategy to achieve their goal that ups the ante. Then Remmich makes a crucial mistake that plays into the Iraqi agents’ hands. Remmich now functions from a controlled personality while his true self lies dormant. His colleagues are oblivious to his duplicity except for Miller, who senses something is off.

"The taller, older man motioned toward the pile of money with his left hand, and his partner’s eyes followed. As the two looked down at the bundles of cash, Miller stepped to the side and quickly pulled the 9mm out of his coat’s inner breast pocket. The short thug with the silencer looked up and turned as Miller fired two rounds in quick succession."

Inspector Joe Hardy of the San Francisco Police Department is not liked by his superiors. Thirty-eight, cynical, and devoid of prospects for a happy future, he solves cases, probably drinks too much, and gets along the best he can. He admits that he''s kind of a pig. So when he is given a "special assignment" to provide security for a high society wedding and the priceless necklace that is involved, he knows it's punishment. But he does not know that he will meet a woman he hasn't even dreamed existed. Perdita Barrymore, daughter of a wealthy family and not the sort of woman Joe has ever known, is perfect for him, but they both come with baggage.

Follow Joe Hardy into Napa Valley and the rarefied air of big money as he tries to navigate the unfamiliar waters of possible love, life changing events, and a cast of unbelievable characters that keep him on his toes. And, he must deal with Nora Swank, a caustic writer of chick lit romances, a pair of flighty identical twins, and underworld toughs who make life interesting.

James Killman was born in Arkansas where he lived until he was fifteen. His family then moved to Memphis, Houston, and New Orleans where he graduated high school with honors. He taught both English and mathematics in high school and college. His past writing credits consist of house organs, technical writing, newsletters, and private work for hire.

For The Law And The Sabbath

Written by Roger Hadad
In the Gospels we find that Jesus consistently refers to the first five books of the Old Testament as “the Law.” And on many occasions, the Master extracts legal precedents from this law in order to settle all kinds of disputed matters and even subdue the Tempter. Yet modern believers dogmatically insist that this same law has been “done away” in order to make way for salvation. But is this a helpful and correct understanding of the Holy Scriptures? What are the unintended consequences of promoting a view where the Bible, as it were, devours itself? Is there a cognitive price to be paid? Have contemporary Christians set themselves up for failure and misperception by advancing this view, as we force our square doctrinal peg into the round Scriptural hole? Can we really uproot justice, mercy, and faith from the Old Testament, yet maintain a coherent biblical worldview?

Roger Hadad holds a certificate in biblical studies. He lives in North Carolina with his wife and two children. He is a translator and works as a Judicial Interpreter in the State and Federal court systems. His training is in the English and Spanish languages with an expertise in the legal field.

A Federal Agents Story

Written by Keith A. Roberts
After winding up loose ends of several ongoing operations, Chief Robbins was sure that there was nothing left for the day and went home to catch some sleep. Being part of the Border Patrol, it was no surprise for Chief Robbins and his teams to get calls at odd hours of the night, and often it would make them jump from their beds. Nevertheless, everyone on the Border Patrol was used to such incidences. Lately, there had been only a few significant incident calls received during the night which gave the Chief and his personnel a brief respite as the nation’s Southeast border remained relatively quiet.
However, their bubble was soon to burst, and the Border Patrol was about to get into a case that would leave a life-long imprint on their memories.
Jonathan had come for a fishing trip to relax and get away from his hectic life, yet he still couldn’t bring himself to bed. His recent project had him up at night. He was spending more and more time at the office, and when he was at home, he would end up planning for the next day as if his life had nothing else except work. Noticing that his work kept him occupied and needing a break from this tiresome routine, Jonathan decided to go fishing after handing over the recent project to his boss. He called his cousin Bill, who had been pestering him for well over a year, to see if he could accompany him for a relaxing weekend

Tis the season, Fa, la, la, la, F*cked
Cade Myers was enjoying his transition from big city homicide detective to small town sheriff. The pace of his new town is much slower and the crime rate is almost non-existent. In his first year the only crime he encountered was littering. Paperwork was his biggest problem until one night on his way home he finds a woman with head trauma and drenched, on the side of the road. From the first moment she opens her beautiful brown eyes in that hospital bed, Cade is hooked. He spends his time trying to figure out who assaulted “Mary”. Cade can’t imagine anyone wanting to hurt the sweet, kind-hearted, gorgeous, librarian, for everyone loves Mary and he was afraid that it definitely included him.

“Mary Smith” was 13 months old. She loved her books, helping kids, and the sexy sheriff, Cade Myers. She’d be happy with her lot in her short life, if she could stop having troublesome dreams, deal with her secret admirer, dispel the dread of shadowy memories.

Almost overnight, Cade’s small town started taking on traits of the big city he left behind. He had a prankster that was getting out of hand, a missing witness from the WITness SECurity program, an escalating stalker, a vandal, and he had to deal with it all while he falling hopelessly in love...No problem.

Super Moon Protocol
Written by J.T.Fluhart

Fifty years ago a vicious animal attack sparked by the lunar calendar destroyed a small farming family north of Dallas, Texas. No one knew the impact that night would have on the world's future. Today that same lunar event will occur again. The question is, will the same vicious event reoccur? If it does, will it be isolated like before or on a global scale? Against the clock, Rob and Mel Florchett must solve the mystery behind the attack in 1970 and put the pieces of their family back together. Along the way they befriend locally renowned psychologist, Dr. Maria Sheltie. Through their combined research and bravery they outwit the CIA and survive the brutality of a Mexican cartel boss. But will family, friendship and pure luck be enough to prevent the world as we know it from an all out animal apocalypse? Conspiracy, suspense, and peril lurk around every corner in this heart pumping race against the clock thriller.

In Plain Sight

Written by Edmond Okocha

Meet Ebenezer Cosmen. He's a computer programmer and a writer—a middle-of-the-road man with conventional needs and a relaxed attitude towards worldly things. He lives alone with a small cohort of trusted comrades. He wrote a fictional novel about a serial killer that was later imitated by an actual killer. Obviously, he became a little less middle-of-the-road after that. With a bit of luck, the media caught wind of the story, and it ignited a morbid fascination in people. This recognition propelled his book sales to heights he never imagined. He enjoyed the success for over a decade until the killer was captured. Fans of the fiction labeled Ebenezer as a one-hit-wonder; unknowingly, they dared him to repeat his success. Ebenezer struggled for a while until the oddest-looking pair of FBI agents visited him on an unsuspecting Saturday morning. With an offer to be a consultant for the FBI, Ebenezer would be tracking a new killer with a similar ilk as his creation, but this time, the killer preferred a more famous prey. Now Ebenezer is burdened with information, two women too beautiful to resist, and colleagues with atypical demeanor. The case will take him in circles until he goes back to where it all started. He will soon discover that there is nowhere left for him to hide… and no one left to trust. Only at his most vulnerable moment will he unfurl the truth that lay in plain sight the entire time.
